What is a UPI QR code?

A UPI QR code encodes a UPI payment string (upi://pay?pa=yourid@bank&pn=YourName) so any UPI app opens pre-filled with your details. It is static and never expires. Enter your UPI link in the URL field — it begins with upi://, which the generator accepts.

Three steps

How to create a UPI QR code

1

Build your UPI link

Use the format upi://pay?pa=yourid@bank&pn=YourName (add &am=100 to fix an amount), then paste it in.

2

Make it yours

Add your colours, a logo and a “Scan & Pay” frame to match your shopfront.

3

Download & print

Export a crisp PNG or vector SVG for counters, stalls and invoices.

FAQ

UPI QR codes, answered

Which apps can scan it?

Any UPI-enabled app — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and bank apps — can read a standard upi:// QR code.

Can I set a fixed amount?

Yes. Add &am=100 (and optionally &cu=INR) to your UPI link before generating, and the app will open pre-filled with that amount.

Does it expire?

No. Your UPI details are encoded directly in the code, so it never expires and needs no hosting.
